Question by bun b: a neighbor of mine is selling a broken 46 inch samsung 1080p television. Is it worth it for only 0?
He wants 400 for it. im assuming theres no warranty. It has a crack/dent in it on the left side of the screen about 2 or 3 inches in diameter. it turns on but it just shows random lines. Is there any way to fix this without a warranty and about how much would it cost? Would this be a steal with a lil bit of effort to get it fixed or is it not worth the time?

Absolutely NOT a deal. The panel is the most expensive part to replace. If it were a warranty issue the maker would just give a new one. Dont give your neighbor a penny. Call a repair depot and ask how much a new panel would cost.
