Question by AJB: What is the difference between 1080p and 720p on a Tv set?
I have been noticing a lot of the HDTV saying they are 1080p and some are 720p how does that affect the quality of the tv?

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

the numbers are the number of scan lines (generally the same as the number of pixels in height)…
the higher the number, the higher the resolution and more accurate or sharper the picture…

both 720p and 1080p give a widescreen picture 16:9 but only 1080p is true HDTV… it has 2.07 million pixels compared with 921,600 for 720p
