my tv is 720p sony bravia. i want to buy a blueray player now. but i am worried that may be 1080p output player displays best on only 1080p tv please suggest.

Most HDTV’s under 40 inches are 720p……With Blu Ray HD DVD, you get a 1080p output. It will look good, but on smaller sets, it is no big difference…Your 720P will look just fine, or even a bit better. Even large HDTV’s are mostly used for 1080i not 1080p, since ALL cable companies and TV stations broadcast in 1080i….NOT 1080p…!! The only true 1080p on larger sets is with a PS-3 or a Blu Ray DVD player…
